A couple years back when we were beginning this Fat Bike experience. Meeting Jeff Hall down by the Minnesota River in 2013 and watching him take his first Fat Bike rides. Fast forward to 2016 and he is the Man to beat anytime he toes the line at a Winter Fat Bike Race. Fastest Fat Tire Man in the Midwest...

Firing Up The Fat Tire Bikes / Night Ride Along da Minnesota River Trail

A winter night bike ride along the river is as good as it gets...the fresh snow is pure and the reflection give the trees ghostly images.

  This was a night of new snow during the day and a great time to spend, not only time on the bikes, but around a campfire. With the temperature hovering about 7 degrees, the warmth of the fire felt inviting.

Nice shot of Jeff Hall and Brendan Moore at "The Solstice Chase" winter fat tire bike race. Jeff races for LAMERE Cycles and Brendan races for Wolf Tooth Components. This race was the first of the season in the "Great Lakes Fat Bike Series".

Good ride along the river with temps about 12 degrees...like to stop and listen. Heard a lone Coyote howling. Pretty quiet tonight.

Minnesota Winter Fat Tire Riding / Snow and Cold / Good Riding

New snow and 3 days of riding the Mountain Bikes this week-end.

The first night we tested our new Nite Rider lights on the bikes. They were awesome, Pro 1200Race model. Lit up the trail.

Got out on a fresh snow day after the night ride, trail is packing in good with the sun and many riders.

 Day 3 was excellent winter Fat Tire Bike riding with temps at 3 degrees it was brisk and the snow was very good packed. Jeff Hall was on his LAMERE Cycle and I had my new LAMERE Cycle. These are awesome bikes!

Best Winter Ever / Cold & Snow / Fat Tire Surly

Good ride down along the Minnesota River on a beautiful evening. Started out in the late afternoon and rode into the dark. The snow conditions were very good and the temps were about 5 degrees at the start and dropped to about -2 degrees after 2 hours on the trails. We were treated to a moonlight ride back to the truck.

 The moon came out bright on the ride back and the Coyotes started their chorus of howling. It always adds to the adventure of being out and sharing a cold winter night with the sounds of the night.
