National Mountain Bike Series / #1 Phoenix, AZ

Looking fresh before the desert
Yeah I think I kicked that deserts ass
Now, how do those handlebars go on
I think I hear Wily Coyote
The new Salsa green blends into the desert
lets git rockin
Ridin into the sunset

Howdy,

The National Mountain Bike season opener, 40 miles of desert racing! OH YEAH!! Jeff spent 6 days before the race riding in Phoenix.

If you read Jeff Halls' http://www.jeffhallmountainbiking.com/ web journal from February, you could do a little math & come up a 110 degree difference in bike riding conditions (-15 F to +95 F). It's all part of the Big MTB Adventure.

In my case, I spent the 2 previous weeks in the mountains of Colorado, snowmobiling & snowboarding out in the backcountry. We've got a great Country to chase our passions for adventure!

Where did they come up with those colors for the jersey? I thought last years graphics were great. What would have been really cool is a design from their top road bike the Champeon or whatever it is.That thing has a sweet paint job. Have fun at the next one-EZ

Hey Eric,
I had my own comment at first, but after seeing all the other pro jerseys the funky green lizard kinda grows on ya. I can pick him out of the pack. hope your spring is going great! Pretty weird going from snowmobiling & boarding in the rockies for 2 weeks, to hangin with the cactius in the desert the next week.
