Middle of the Night in the Middle of North Dakota

Stopped in middle of North Dakota at a wayside rest, traveled about 350 miles so far. Drove through a bit of a storm in Minnesota, mostly freezing rain then turned into snow. It was all good, lock the F150 into 4-wheel drive and keep on a hammering.

Catch a bit of shuteye, 1or 2 hours, then back on the road. Have got about 600 miles to go to Bozeman.

Good night you all...

Hey Mike,

What wheel and tire setup do you have again on the F150??

I have the 20" wheels with the Pirelli Scorpion ATR on my 2011 Fx4 Eco...not really impressed with the setup in the snow even with 4wd.

Thanks...Have a great trip!

I've got the BFG All-terrain. I'm running 285/70/17. Drove the first 350 miles of our trip to Montana locked in 4-wheel drive, rain, sleet and snow. Ran 65 - 80 mph, great tires. I'm in Cooke City, Montana right now. Drove the final 90 miles on narrow twisty snow covered 2 lane road, truck and tires worked great. 60 of those miles were through Yellowstone National Park, awesome views and saw buffalo, elk and some big horn sheep. Have a good week Chris.

That 285/70/17, tire size is considered a 33 inch tall tire.
